VUSD/VTA Negotiations Update

The Vista Unified School District (VUSD) and the Vista Teachers Association (VTA) met at the District Office on Tuesday, October 22, 2019.

• Both VUSD and VTA have reached Tentative Agreements on Articles 12, 16, and 26.
  
• During negotiations both teams discussed Articles 13, 20, and Article 30 regarding Special Education.
  
• 8 Period Day Updates
  No agreement was reached as no new proposals were presented at the October 22nd meeting.
  Therefore, the 8 Period Day will not be implemented for the 2020/21 school year. 
  

Going forward, the VUSD bargaining team will meet with VTA on October 29th to continue working on open articles.
