bargaining update 4/6/17

​The bargaining teams for VTA and VUSD met together for the first time on April 5, 2017. The entire contract is open for negotiations this year, but the teams agreed that no changes were needed for Articles 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 10, 11, 14, 27, and 28. The teams began to exchange initial proposals for the remaining articles but did not have time to complete all of them. On April 18 the teams will meet again in order to finish exchanging their initial proposals. In addition, both teams will begin to respond to the initial proposals that were presented on April 5.
