update

Dear Colleagues,

After two bargaining sessions VTA has declared IMPASSE!  The District will receive $13.5 million in new monies next year but offered 0% raise and 0% for benefits and in fact toward us that we really owe them money back from our raise in January but they feel zero is correct.

I have attached my school board speech from last night and a 22 point financial fact sheet that our bargaining chair, Ron Ferreirae, shared with the District's bargaining team.  These facts are why we believe declaring impasse is our only option.
