                              Information for writing a speech to deliver at a Board meeting

                              1. Introduce yourself

                              2. Talk about impact to students and education

                              3. Discuss how the salary cuts will impact you personally

                              4. Two minute speech

                              Speakers:

                              · Try to carpool with other teachers for parking

                              · Arrive early for the Board meeting

                              · Obtain a hold card from Rosemary Smithfield and Brenda Delmastro who will be outside under a sign

                              · Fill in the article# for items not on the agenda

                              · Return card to the VTA table

                              · Get help from someone at the VTA table if needed

                              · Have supporting teachers from your site stand behind you at the podium

                              · Wear school shirts, black shirts or other choice together

                              · We don’t know how things will go, be prepared to stay until the end of the meeting if needed
