    Dear Parents, Teachers, Classified Members, Administrators & Board Members,

It is time to rally around public education & inform the public about the Governor’s proposed budget cuts.

Who:  Parents, Teachers, Classified Members, Administrators, Board Members

When:  Friday, April 18, 5-6 PM

Where:  Along the Emerald, Vista Village & Sunset Ave/Escondido Ave Overpasses

Vista rally participants will man the Emerald overpass, VistaVillage overpass & Sunset Ave/Escondido Ave overpass.

At the same time Vista participants are sharing... Oceanside, San Marcos, Carlsbad, San Dieguito, Ramona, Poway, ValleyCenter will be sharing out from other overpasses throughout N. County.

At the same time communities are sharing out at overpasses... speakers will address a crowd at the N. County Regional Education Center in San Marcos.  This group will then march to the TwinOaksValley overpass at Highway 78.

At Monday’s Rep Council meeting more information will be forthcoming providing you with the specific overpass your site will be assigned to man and talking points for future use.  STAY TUNED!

Friday’s Overpass Rally

School site assignment:

*Emerald Dr overpass—CA, GV, EMP, AP, OL, TH, WMS, RMS, RBV

                *parking at Costco &/or Big Lots

*Vista Village Dr overpass-VHS, BH, LK, MMS, MD, MM, BO, VAPA, CA, MGM

         *parking at Food for Less Center

*Escondido Ave/Sunset Ave overpass—CV, HA, MV, BE, RMMS, VMMS,              FO, SVHS, AVHS/PAL, VFA

                *parking at Crestview Elementary School & Park & Ride

*IF YOU CAN’T BE AT YOUR ASSIGNED OVERPASS SELECT ONE OF THE OTHER TWO

*PICK UP YOUR SIGN AT THE COSTCO, FOOD 4 LESS OR THE PARK & RIDE

Captains at overpasses:

        *Emerald—Board Member Steve Lilly & TH teacher Paula Keen

        *Vista Village Dr—VHS teacher Seena Trigas

        *Escondido Ave/Sunset Ave—Board Member Carol Herrera

Be on the overpass at 5:00 PM.  Rally ends at 6:00 PM

Approximately 100 signs will be available between the 3 overpasses.  Feel free to create you own based around the theme ‘Enough is Enough!  No More Cuts to Education’

Rules to follow:

        *keep moving at all times

        *do not wave posters/banners over freeway overpass

        *shout positive messages

        *stay clear of disrupting traffic
